Dirty Work has spent the last decade helping our clients increase their curb appeal and over the last ten years, we’ve seen plenty of eye sores bringing down the appeal of homes as well as plenty of curb appeal “wins.”

That’s why we would like to share our list of do’s and don’ts for increasing your curb appeal.

  • Trimming your trees.
  • Planting a flower bed.
  • Hanging a new wreath on the door.
  • Painting your front door.
  • Using decorative accent numbers for your address.
  • Replacing your welcome mat.
  • Bricking your mailbox.
  • Mowing your lawn.
  • Fixing any cracks in your driveway.
  • Adding nice porch furniture.
  • Painting your fence.
  • Placing potted plants on the porch.
  • Using patterned plant pots.
  • Adding some outdoor lighting.

  • Having too many lawn decorations.
  • Having dead grass, flowers or trees.
  • Forgetting to repaint your shutters.
  • Having dirty gutters.
  • Having dirt on your porch or house. (A quick power wash can take care of this.)
  • Having old appliances or junk lying in your yard.
  • Forgetting to maintain your side yards.
  • Having dog poop on the lawn.
  • Having children’s toys lying around.
