“Bag it” chronicles the struggles one man faces when he decides to stop using plastic bags. The documentary examines how prevalent plastic bags have become and how they affect the environment.

So how prevalent have plastic bags become?

2 million plastic bottles are used every 5 minutes! These bags require 17 million barrels of oil to produce!

But the documentary doesn’t dwell on the depressing reality. Instead, it’s upbeat – entertaining in a fun, but educational way.

I wish they interviewed only biochemists or other scientists who are not associated with political activism.  Being a “doctor” or belonging to a group of people who share an interest does not mean that person understands chemical effects on a human. I did not care for the documentary for that reason. I watched about 2/3rds of it.Susie Winters

I have given this more thought and find that the documentary did inform and influence my thinking and I am now aware of plastics and changing my shopping habits. Thanks for letting me share.Susie
