Austin demolition

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, 170,000 buildings are constructed and 44,000 are demolished every single year. And all that building and demolishing produces a lot of waste…

Construction and demolition waste accounts for 160 million tons of garbage each year or about 25% of all the non-industrial waste created in the U.S, according to the EPA.

Surprisingly, new construction accounts for only 8% of all this waste. While renovation projects account for 44% and demolition projects account for a whopping 48%!

Of this waste, less than 30% is recycled. Since up to 90% of building materials are recyclable, that represents a huge opportunity for the construction industry to help the environment.

That’s why it’s so important for builders and home owners to look for a waste management company that will recycle their trash. At Dirty Work, we’re committed to doing our part to help the environment by ensuring that all the waste we pick up gets recycled. Why should you settle for any less?
