Austin Demolition: The Incredible History of Demolition

We found this picture floating around on Pinterest with the following story attached:

“My father was a firefighter when I was young.Periodically they would burn down houses slated for demolition in order to practice techniques. The fireman families would pack a picnic and go watch.”

We haven’t been able to find the original owner of the story or the picture, but we thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it with our readers.

And as always, if you need any help with Austin-area demolition, you can find Dirty Work on Facebook, Twitter or Google+!
